We at Denscombe Corporation have a strong belief in the essential value of internal human resource skill building and career enhancement, with an understanding that the most valuable resources that every organization possesses are of course its human resources. HR provides the critical element of competitive advantage and long-term value creation, no matter what else is at play. And, while we also believe that development of human resources should be a holistic mixture of many things, inside and outside the firm, and external training such as MBA programs is important for skill/knowledge/experience development, the most important element of a firm’s human development is always internal business and management training. There can be no substitute for the focused business training that can/should be done in-house within the walls of the firm, as this training can be focused and customized both to the needs of the client firm situation and the needs of its actual human resources. 

Our CEO at Denscombe Corporation learned the value of internal focused corporate education a long time ago, when he joined his first career assignment after his Harvard MBA in a New York bank, and was promptly ordered to take an intensive, full-time, 8-month internal training program at the Bank’s internal corporate business school. At first, he resisted the rationale for attending the program, having been “educated” at what many might consider the World’s top full-time business school, Harvard. However, the bank’s intensive “8am-8pm” program, taught by a mixture of elite professors (from Harvard, Wharton, and NYU) and line managers at the bank, and using all original and industry focused case studies from the firm itself, was a critically essential career experience and perhaps provided more valuable skills and insight than could be obtained through a formal MBA program, like the one our CEO actually attended. Definitely, he could not have achieved his industry accomplishments without this training inside the firm, even with his MBA education.

Today, Denscombe Corporation is committed to providing a wide variety of customized internal training for client firms everywhere and in all industries, from entry-level new hire level to senior client managers.

It could also be just to create and provide business-training materials and business education content without facilitation of the courses, or the other side, creating and managing a firm’s new in-house corporate training business school for employees. 

Our role could also be to create and start-up private corporate business schools for groups of strategically aligned clients, who might have shared human resource development needs.
