We offer consulting for local clients in Tokyo/Japan (and New York) and also for distance/global clients located just about anywhere in the world by utilizing Skype/telephone/email/fax. But even for local clients, a lot of the consulting still takes place through Skype and email, especially after the early consulting sessions.

While Denscombe Corporation does have a deep and intimate knowledge of the MBA selection process at top MBA programs around the World, we have no direct connection to the MBA admissions/selection process at these schools (Harvard Business School, Stanford and other top business school programs). We will adapt our MBA admissions consulting processes and timeline to whatever makes sense to the individual client, and will never force a standardized approach on anyone. Quite the opposite, we at Denscombe Corporation have a long history of being “innovative” to the specific needs of the client, and will always try to suggest a more creative approach (whether it be resume writing, essays, or interviews) to get the client the results that they require. Above all else, as a service firm, we know the customer need is always top priority.

OUR ROLE
Denscombe Corporation’s role will be limited to providing general MBA admissions consulting guidance, candidate analysis, program selection and strategy, application package concept suggestions, essay question analysis, essay writing editing/review, recommendation letter guidance, interview practice, general GMAT test taking guidance, and pre-MBA business skill building (case study analysis, decision-making, etc).
OFF-LIMITS: Denscombe Corporation will not create ideas/content or act as a “ghost writer” for the client, but we will intimately/closely support and provide focus to the client’s own original ideas, essays, and so on
ONGOING COMMITMENT AFTER ADMISSION
After successful MBA admission, we can also provide additional support services (either local in Japan or distance/global), including pre-MBA survival training and business skill tutoring, case study and business communication workshops, skill-up mentoring in finance/accounting, marketing, strategy (See “YouTube”), and so.
These additional support services are something else that gives Denscombe Corporation MBA admissions consulting clients a unique competitive advantage, not just in getting them into top global MBA programs but also supporting them to take advantage of this great career/personal development opportunity once they get in.

Consulting sessions
SESSION FORMAT
All of the MBA admissions consulting process will take place inside a designated and pre-agreed “consulting session”. Each consulting session will be 60-minute (one-hour) long, with possibly some limited pre-session preparation (10/15 minutes, if required). Depending on whether the client is a local client in Japan or global distance client, and also depending on the stage of the MBA admissions process, the consulting sessions can be “face-to-face” in person, email, Skype, or various other communication media.
The consulting client will decide the optimum choice of meetings/review and times depending on his/her needs. Denscombe Corporation has no obligation to answer questions and spend time on the client’s work outside of the session time, but this will depend on the scope/complexity of the work requested by the client as well as Nigel Denscombe’s availability.
SESSION CONTENT
The content of each consulting session will be decided by the client, and the stage of the MBA admissions process; some clients want work in a sequential process for all the steps of the process from resume to interview practice and others might follow a parallel development, working on multiple things at the same time.
Yet others might take the “â-la-carte” choice, and choose Denscombe Corporation for a specific step only, like essays or interview practice.
Ultimately, of course, the clients decide what they want to focus on and where we at Denscombe Corporation can add the “best value”.
FREE SESSION
The MBA admissions consulting begins with a free initial consultation (face-to-face or Skype or email) to explain more about Denscombe Corporation’s approach to the MBA admissions process and potential to add value, and also for Denscombe Corporation to find out more about the client. After this session, Denscombe Corporation will either decide to continue with the client to the next step or suggest other possible MBA admissions consultants that might be a better fit for a particular client’s needs.
OUR AVAILABILITY
Denscombe Corporation will generally be available seven days of the week, at any time between 09:00-21:00 for local support in Tokyo (and New York) or “24*7” round-the-clock availability for global/distance counseling anywhere.
Pricing
PAYMENT/TERMS
Our MBA admissions consulting fee is based on an up-front “fixed rate per consulting session”, comparable or lower than industry averages for high value-added MBA admissions consulting. For exceptional candidates that meet our own MBA admissions criteria guidelines, Denscombe Corporation will agree to a substantially lower up-front consulting session fee and instead receive a “back-end performance bonus” (payable only on the client’s successful admission to a pre-specified/agreed MBA program). Such eligibility will be decided in the initial free MBA admissions consulting session.
NOTE: All client deposits and payments are non-refundable, under any circumstances once the consulting sessions have commenced, as the “free consulting session” (see above) is designed to give the clients the firsthand opportunity to see whether the consulting services will fit their needs (or not) before any client payments are made to Denscombe Corporation.
